  • Looking for some new music

So what is in your work out mix on your Ipod or mp3 player? I tend to have a bunch of Southern rock and 80's hits and I am looking for some new music for a new playlist. My workouts where I listen to music are generally running or on a spin bike / trainer so all tempos are welcome except for the really slow stuff...

        Just thumbing through my iTunes.

I have been jamming some Low Line, Band of Horses (although their music isn't suitable for workouts...try Laredo), Incubus (new album), good ol' Counting Crows.

I find that my taste of music changes drastically depending on the type of exercise. If I am in the mood for music while I ride the bike, I usually listen to mellower stuff. If I am doing rigorous stuff.... give me some of this ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVyVIsvQoaE on repeat.

On the slightly heavier, good workout music side:

          Black Water Rising
          Pop Evil
          Rise Against
          Chevelle
          Story of the Year

All found with Genious on Itunes - I love that feature...

My latest addiction is Cornbread Red...the Pickin' On series. Basically a blue grass version of a ton of major groups. I love it!

That one's Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

Look for House, Deep House, Tech House (names for the genre)... Dub Step is maybe a little extreame to get started...

deadmau5, pronounced "Dead Mouse" is a good artist... Jimster has a song called, "Those Days" that is good... Eric Pridz, etc...put those into Pandora and have fun...

another good source for this music is a site called www.beatport.com...

This music has a club beat that is good tempo for working out...
