East Frisco is more old school Plantation, Hillcrest Estates etc. many West Friscoians call it more McKinney than Frisco. But this is not true. My brother lives in Turnbridge Manor off of Independence and 121 and it is the most friendliest kid neighborhood in Frisco today. Hunters Creek is connected to Turnbridge and is definitely a beautiful community with the winding streets and mature trees. The other new communities being built North are on the border of McKinney as well and all of the schools are great. East Frisco's location to me and my clients is more desirable because access to 121.
West Frisco has some incredible spots as well. Lone Star Ranch, Shaddock Creek Estates, Austin Ridge, Heritage Lakes etc., are all incredible neighborhoods that have maintained a great name through the years. West Frisco is much closer to old Downtown Frisco and the unbelievable amount of Shops and restaurants that have popped up. West Frisco is closer to the Tollroad if North and South is a need.
I still think that East Frisco has West beat because of the easy access to 121, closer to Stonebriar, closer to 75, and faster downtown Dallas.
But I may be biased because I just contracted on a home in Richwoods for my family.
And yes, it is my company and I am not trying to pitch you on it at all, but it helps many people understand the most important aspects.
But regardless if you choose East or West, as long as you are in Frisco . . . You are all good!!!
Best of luck!
