She could not find ANYTHING attached to my plates (no tickets, warrants, etc.) other than my own likeness. She said that she was unable to pull up anything in the city or county records. She even looked under the name that the officer gave me. Nothing.
Furthermore, I checked as many county databases as I possibly could, today, for anything related. Nothing.
She told me that if I want to be absolutely sure, that I could contact the DPS and have them run a check, but that she couldn't find anything other than my name associated with my plate number.
So my question is now: Why did the officer tell me that? He gave me a specific name and age of this "girl" and a month of the supposed incident, but wouldn't tell me what her warrant was for or a specific date.
Even worse, what if I would have jumped all over the dealership's case without checking the facts first? I am very thankful that I didn't. Although now I have to wonder why I was told that there were warrants "attached to my vehicle" when nothing could be found by the court.
