The inevitable result of a couple of generations now being raised with the idea that everyone should go to college whether they need to or not. At UNT (randomly picked example), a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management costs the same as one in Electrical Engineering (120 credit hours vs 128), but do you really need a college degree to know how to check someone in on the night shift at Days Inn?
No you don't need a degree for that...but if you want to get into a management training program with a worldwide company like Hilton or Marriott that degree is going to give you a leg up. They really don't get most of their executives by promoting the bellhops.
You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas.
