I thin it's the best of 2 evils...
It seems like a lot but i don't want it any other way. I have a freshman son at Wakeland. I appreciate the fact he had some transition from smaller mid-school to larger (but not humongo!) high school.
Academics & safety are most important to me. More schools means smaller class sizes - smaller teacher to student ratios. Also, one unexpected benefit for kids in athletics; My son made his freshman team but some kids, who were decent, had to be cut. There simply aren't enough coaches/money for and A & B teams. My son has friends in other areas where no kids were cut!
So far, Frisco ISD seems to have done a good job in dividing the schools when a new one pops up....or maybe that's just my experience. I'll be interested to see what others think. Good post!
