There are a lot of tidbits that have come to light to support that theory.

There is the US marine's description of meeting BHO in Hawaii in 1980 which mentioned that BHO told of traveling and schooling in Indonesia, but having been born in Kenya.

There is the retired postman (Bill Hulton) who delivered mail for years in a Chicago suburb in the mid-1980s to the parents of "Bomber" Bill Ayers -- Tom and Mary Ayers, and who described Mary telling of supporting a bright young black man from Kenya with his schooling. Hulton also described later meeting Obama walking to the Ayers to thank them. That account alone would suggest the foreign student application record that would appear on ALL of BHO's college transcripts.

There's the bio that BHO almost certainly supplied to his earliest publisher (for a book that was never written) which stated he was born in Kenya.

There are countless articles from various African newspapers stretching over several years that cover BHO's years in the Illinois Senate, and then in the US Senate, which proudly brag of their Kenyan born native son making it big in US politics. That continued until shortly before BHO started his campaign for the US presidency. (Most of those links have been scrubbed, but archive.org has preserved some of them, and a lot more have been saved as screenshots by those interested.)

So it would appear there was a long history of consistent claims by BHO himself of being born in Kenya -- before the WH run mandated a change of story, about the same time as his Selective Service application was forged using a cut-up 2008 date stamp.

It would also explain why there is a gap around August 1961 in the microfilm records that Immigration maintained regarding airline flights to and from Kenya.

It would also explain why former elections clerk Tim Adams in Hawaii was told by several supervisors that it was common knowledge that no long form birth certificate existed in Hawaii, and why the Sheriff Arpaio investigation drew such wrath from the BHO machine -- never mind how incredibly inept in so many ways was the long form BC forgery.

BHO's hold on the DOJ is probably critical to keeping a lid on this pressure cooker.
