- Atiba Harris made his FC Dallas debut tonight, starting in the right midfield position after being acquired last week in a trade with Chivas USA.
- Colombian Jair Benitez also made his FC Dallas and MLS debut tonight in the left back position after signing with the club on Wednesday.
- Drew Moor received a red card in second half stoppage time forcing him to miss the team’s next match.
- Dallas was without its leading scorer, Kenny Cooper, for the third straight game while the 24-year-old is away with the U.S. Men's National Team for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Cooper scored a second half overtime goal to secure a 2-0 semifinal victory over Honduras at Soldier's Field in Chicago Thursday night. With the result, the USMNT advance to the Gold Cup Final on July 26 against Mexico at Giants Stadium.
- Three FCD players have now started all 18 regular season games: David Ferreira, Moor and van den Bergh. Ferreira is the only player to have played every minute of the season thus far.
- Goalkeeper Dario Sala tonight made his first appearance on the 18 man day-of-game roster since the April 25 game at Chivas USA. Sala had sat out the previous 11 matches due to a left knee injury.
- Two Dallas players missed the game with injuries: forward Peri Marosevic (right hip) and Alvaro Sanchez (right ankle).
- FC Dallas returns home for a two-game home-stand beginning with the August 1 contest versus the Kansas City Wizards (7:30 p.m. CT, live on KFWD-52) and then an in-state battle versus the Houston Dynamo on Thursday, August 6 (7:30 p.m. CT, live on FSN-SW).

- FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman on the game: “I thought we played some of our best soccer in the first half. The second half was obviously a different story. Our plan was to put on high pressure and get three points, which worked out pretty well up until halftime. We sat back a little bit to try and protect a lead, which is always dangerous."
