FISD Students Have Art Selected for State Convention

Jill Denton, art instructor at Wakeland High School, announced that several FISD
art students will have work exhibited at the TASB/TASA (Texas Association of
School Boards /Texas Association of School Administrators) Convention the
weekend of September 24-26 in Houston.  The works will be on display at the
Houston Convention Center. The student artists are: Christie Shokler, Saemi Choi
and Christian Corsica of Centennial; Jennifer Cooper of Curtsinger Elementary;
Chandler Primeaux and Lekeisha Sims, both of Frisco High School; Shelby Raley of
Roach Middle School; and Angie Liu of Wakeland High School.
Dr. Daryl Trent, Director of Fine Arts, added his congratulations to the
students and expressed his pride in these talented students who span all
education levels at FISD.
