Collin County’s Farm Museum is officially a Blue Star Museum, which gives military personnel and their families free admission to the museum from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends.

The program offers military families free access to 1,600 art exhibits, science centers, and amazing museums all over the nation. To see which museums are participating, visit the Blue Star Museum Program webpage.

The Collin County Farm Museum will receive Congressional recognition for its participation in the program during the Frisco Heritage Museum’s Frisco Flag Day, Thursday, June 14. Congressman Sam Johnson will present local Blue Star Museums with a copy of their designation posted in the Congressional Record. Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m., at the Frisco Heritage Center Depot, 6455 Page Road, Frisco, Texas.

First launched in the summer of 2010, Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America.
