Cancer is a diabolical diagnosis that can  place you in a fight ring facing a death match.  The depth of despair, the fear, the overwhelming intensity of the therapies that make each of us cringe can harvest a grimace from even the most brave soul.  I am certain you have a treasured family member or neighbor, a cherished friend or even a casual acquaintance that has been punched in the face by this devastating disease.  My mother’s blow was fatal and for her I stand strong, gloves off, to fight for you.

The 4^th Annual 2011 Silver Dollar Ball benefiting the American Cancer Society is April 30^th at the picture perfect XO Ranch in Aubrey.  This year, the remarkably entertaining country star,  Neil McCoy will entertain us while we feast on a never ending buffet of Eddie Deans BBQ and are provided an Open Bar of Glazier Distributing’s finest adult beverages by Republic Group.  Cowboys, shopping at the auctions, a robust casino, dancing, Ranch Couture décor by Fauxcades and much more, all help create the most memorable evening – one that I am sure you will talk about for years to come!    In four years,  the Silver Dollar Ball has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that stay here, in our area, to protect, care for and nurture those we hold dear.  The Silver Dollar Ball raises money so that we may be the granters of silver linings thru numerous assistance tools provided by The American Cancer Society.  No holds are barred as we contribute to the research that will generate the death blow to cancer,  and only the strongest arms are used to hold up those who are facing the fight for their lives.
