Curves of Frisco participates in the 12th Annual Food Drive
Frisco Family Services benefits from donation
Frisco, TX (Grassroots Newswire) 3/5/2010 -- It's the 12th Annual Curves Food Drive and Curves is out to collect millions of pounds of food for local area food banks. In the current tough economy, many food banks are struggling to keep up with the need, so there's never been a greater need. Curves of Frisco is collecting food for Frisco Family Services during the month of March. For the past 3 years our members have donated over a ton (2000 pounds) of food to Frisco Family Services. Non-members can bring in a bag of food between March 1-March 31 and we'll waive their joining fee! That's right - a $0 Service Fee!
"While we work to improve the lives of the women in the Frisco area through Curves, we also feel it is important to reach out to others in our community," said Melanie Davis, owner of Curves of Frisco. "It’s apparent to us that Frisco Family Services cares about the lives and the health of the people in our community. We are proud to be able to partner with them to help the Frisco area."
According to Davis, one of Curves of Frisco’s goals is to foster community involvement through charitable efforts.
"Curves has always been dedicated to improving someone’s life -- through weight loss or a charitable initiative. It’s exciting to be able to give both to the Frisco community," said Davis.
