Frisco Grateful to Compete / Rand McNally/USA TODAY Friendliest Small Town in America Competition

2nd Annual Best of the Road Competition Wraps Up in Seattle, Washington

Frisco, Texas was thrilled to be among the finalists for the Rand McNally/USA TODAY “Friendliest” Small Town in America competition and had a great time showing the Rogue Riders just how friendly Frisco is. Congratulations to Murray, Kentucky winners of the Rand McNally/USA TODAY “Friendliest” Small Town in America title.

The Best of the Road rally team, the Rogue Riders, came, saw, meet movers, shakers and regular folks, experienced the ambience and took in the sights. “The community stepped up in a big way in welcoming Jenn and Bob, and we want to thank everyone for taking part in this great experience,” commented Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director, Marla Roe.

Competition winners were announced today at the annual (DMAI) Destination Marketing Association International conference in Seattle, Washington.

·         Fastest Growing City in America, 2000 – 2009 - U.S. Census Bureau, 2010 

·         Top 10 Best Places to Relocate - Forbes.com, 2009

·         Top 100 Best Places to Live - Money Magazine, 2008

Frisco welcomed more than 4 million visitors in 2008. Visitor results from the latest survey will be announced in 2013.
