Frisco And Dallas Artists Team Up For Summer’s Nostalgia

The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco has teamed with The Texas Visual Arts Association for a summer exhibition shown in Dallas and Frisco. This exhibition, titled  “Nostalgia,” began at the TVAA Downtown Gallery , the Plaza of the Americas in Dallas. The exhibit will next hang in Frisco at the Frisco Arts Center, 6827 Main St. in downtown from July 21 through September 7.

The Artist’s Reception for “Nostalgia” in Frisco will be July 24, from 6 to 8PM at the Frisco Arts Center. The reception will feature local musician Erick-Sean Gotcher, playing jazz and will include his original compositions.  Prizes will be awarded at the Artist’s Reception for first, second and third places.  The juror for this show is local entrepreneur Brigitte Kelly of Frisco Mercantile.

“Nostalgia has been a way to connect our VAGF artists to a broader audience in Dallas. It also will give VAGF and Frisco an opportunity to bring Dallas talent to downtown.” says Jane Damon, VAGF Vice President and show coordinator for “Nostalgia.”

The Visual Arts Guild of Frisco is a volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the Visual Arts in Frisco and surrounding communities. Texas Visual Arts Association is a non-profit organization operated for the encouragement and enrichment of visual artists in all media with over 300 members.
