Jaguar Sports Car & Vintage Auto Show Expected to Attract Big Crowds at Frisco Square

Rare 1935 SS90 Among the Highlights of This Competitive Event

(Frisco, Texas) August 31, 2009 ~ Jaguar admirers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers and sellers from around the state of Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana will flock to Frisco for the 39th Annual Concours d’Elegance at Frisco Square on Saturday, September 19. Set up begins at 8:30 a.m., viewers can arrive anytime after that, the judging starts at 1:00 p.m. and the show ends at 3:30 p.m.

This classic car show held outdoors and hosted by the Jaguar Owners Association of the Southwest will feature 40 to 50 cars in attendance ranging from a 1935 SS90 (one of only two in the U.S. and the only one being shown publicly) to XKE’s, to XJ Saloons, to the modern classic models of today. All cars will be judged bumper to bumper, inside and out.

“We are excited about displaying our showpiece vehicles from the past and present and look forward to doing it in the heart of Frisco at Frisco Square,” says David Nichols, Concours Chairman and Club Vice President of the JOASW. “We believe it will be the perfect setting for our event.”

Admission is free for spectators and while there visitors can also enjoy great shopping and dining experiences at Frisco Square and along Main Street.
