It’s A Grind – Keep it Coming!
04/02/2009 from Wenter Blair
I had heard that there are certain points of etiquette when partaking at a coffee shop these days. First, always order from the coffee shop and always pay for refills. Second, one cup of coffee doesn't afford you an entire workday on their comfy couches and in their high back chairs in front of the fireplace. Always keep your phone conversations in hushed tones and no pacing back and forth during a conference call. The most important rule, never bring in food from the outside, say for example, a Burger King lunch! With this checklist in mind, my best friend and I wondered over to the It's A Grind on Lebanon in The Shops at Starwood. We ordered our luscious, dark coffees and learned that they were ground from beans from the One Harvest Program. These are of exceptional quality, produced by families with amazing stories of success and overcoming hardships. The goal of this program is to improve the lives of these farmers and their families. With refills only fifty cents we took our beverages to the outside patio to enjoy some jazz and the new spring morning that had filled the air with a ticklish breeze. In no time at all nearly 90 minutes had passed and we hadn't bought refills, had taken two calls in non hushed tones and watched a buffoon enter the shop with a laptop in one hand and a bag from Burger King in the other!
It's a Grind is the kind of place where you feel so entirely welcome, whether in front of the fireplace or on the picturesque patio, time passes with ease and should you fill the need to fill your tummy, delectable pastries and a huge assortment of brews are available to sooth your sorrows or rev up your ruckus filled day. The city is a grind, long days at the office are a grind, a start to any of those days at It's A Grind will grease the wheels and help your day go much smoother. Gather with your gaggle of gal friends mid day, meet your mate or find new friends but do it at It's A Grind as soon as possible!
