As in Ford, Model T that is.

Sunday may be Mother's Day but on Saturday you can begin celebrating Mom at the Collin County Farm Museum, where they're hosting a Model Tea Party with an Edwardian flair. For a $5 donation, you can take Mom for a spin in our restored, 101-year-old Ford Model T.

There's much more to do, of course: Games, crafts, tea sampling, juggling, cookie decorating, badminton, a scavenger hunt, wind-up tractor racing and demonstrations, so feel free to stop by the museum with your picnic basket and bring Mom. She deserves it! Straw boaters, bowlers and bonnets are optional.

The party runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farm Museum, 7117 County Road 166 (Myers Park and Event Center).

And just so we’re all on the same page, this is about being nice to Mom -- not politics.
