Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body, presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco October 3, 2009 through January 3, 2010

Sci-Tech Discovery Center will host the traveling children’s exhibit, Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body, presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco from October 3, 2009 through January 3, 2010.  Sci-Tech Discovery Center will open in its new permanent home at the southeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway access road and Cotton Gin Road in Frisco on October 3.  This milestone will be celebrated with the popular exhibit, Grossology based on the best-selling book.  Grossology is science in disguise, allowing children to experience many aspects of the human body first hand, such as, a climbing wall of human skin, a larger than life nose tour, and an interactive 30 model of the digestive system.  Sometimes it’s stinky; sometimes it’s crusty; and sometimes it’s slimy, but it’s your body. Sci-Tech Discovery Center is supported by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco, City of Frisco and Children’s Medical Center at Legacy.

In response to the community’s demand for a cultural and educational destination in Collin County, the Sci-Tech Discovery Center was established in 2004 to provide a dynamic and interactive experience for people of all backgrounds and ages. Sci-Tech Discovery Center will offer year-round education outreach, exhibits and to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, educators and innovators.
