Julie Kwon and Emily Atkins are a bit richer and the FISD Career and Technical Education Center will get a bit of cash too, as the result of the two students producing winning posters in the 2012 PlainsCapital bank/CCCS of Greater Dallas Financial Literacy Poster Contest. The theme of this year's contest was Winning the Money Game. Students from Greater Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Lubbock and San Antonio competed from third to grade 12.

Kwon, a Centennial High School student whostudies graphic design at CTEC, is the overall winner. She received a $500 savings bond and $250 was awarded to CTEC. Atkins, a Liberty High School student and a student in the advanced graphic design and illustration at CTEC, won the high school grade-level prize of a $200 savings bond and a $200 award for CTEC.
