Eagle Gymnasts Kick off Their New Season

Frisco, TX – The Eagle Gymnastics Girls’ Team competed this past weekend at the Peace, Love & Gymnastics competition hosted by United Elite.

The Level 5 team danced away with 3rd place in the Large Man competition.  The 7 members of the team earned several individual awards.  Abby Eaton (Sr. B) led the pack placing 1st on beam and floor and 2nd on vault, bars and the all around.  Katherine McBride (Jr. A) was close behind earning 1st on vault and 3rd on bars and beam.  Katelyn Lewellen’s (Jr. C) 2nd place finishes on vault and beam and Emma Price’s (Sr. B) 2nd place finishes on bars and floor helped  both athletes finish 3rd in the all around.  In the Sr. A division, Liah Bosworth placed 2nd on floor, while Lacey Piekarski placed 3rd on vault and beam.  Alyssa Griffith rounded out the level 5 team competing in the Jr. C division.

The Level 4 Achievement team started off strong this season.  The 13 members of the team scored an impressive 26 scores above a 9.0.  Payton Cummings led the pack scoring above a 9.0 on all of her individual events.  Sara Arreola and Jordan Miller were close behind, each scoring 9.0 on 3 out of 4 of their events.

The Level 3 Achievement team performed well led by Madison Hodes and Raven Everidge.   Both athletes scored above a 9.0 on 3 out of 4 of the events.  Leina Shollenberger and Taylor McCormick helped out scoring above a 9.0 on 2 events.

Eagle coaches are proud of how the girls performed and are excited for the team’s upcoming season.  The next test of their gymnastics abilities will be the weekend of September 12th – 13th at the Rising Stars Invitational.  We hope to see you there, cheering the team on!
