90th Anniversary Celebration of the 19th Amendment

Join us to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the 19th amendment giving women the right to vote. This momentous event occurred on August 26, 1920, after 70 years of struggle by the suffragists.

Saturday August 28, 2010  10 a.m. – noon

Andrea White, wife of Mayor Bill White, candidate for Texas Governor, will speak on the importance of the women’s vote this November.  

This is a family event – free and open to the public.

Frozen snacks, drinks, face painting for the kids, a ladies Barbershop Quartet and more.
