Animal Shelter is offering special adoption deals in the coming weeks
Collin County’s Animal Services is experiencing a spike in available, adoptable dogs and cats. So, the volunteers who dedicate their time to helping find new homes for the growing number of “residents” in our shelter are offering some specials in the coming weeks.
Senior Special
For starters, the shelter has implemented a discount program for “senior animals,” where folks can adopt older dogs and cats at a discounted price. Many of these pets have been abandoned by their previous owners and simply need a good home with caring people. There are kennel tags placed on the kennels identifying the discounted adoption fee, or you can check with the shelter staff to see which animals fit into this category. The price includes vaccines, microchip and spay/neutering if needed.
Memorial Day
From May 24-27, all dogs and cats adoption fees are reduced to $20 for any military, police, fire or emergency medical service workers. Just show proof of your profession. Also, remember that these prices include spay/neutering, microchip, and basic vaccines.
School’s Out Special
From May 31 through June 3, we’re offering a $25 adoption special for all dogs and cats so the kids can have a new best friend – and not just for the summer! Again, the fee includes spay/neutering, microchip and basic vaccines.
Also, make sure you check the shelter’s Facebook Page for special vaccine clinics, discounted spay-neuter clinics and other adoption specials.
The shelter is located at 4750 Community Blvd., in McKinney, and is open Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
