(December 1, 2011) As part of TxDOT’s widening project, the Preston Road bridge over US 380 will be closed on Friday, December 2 (weather permitting). The northbound direction of the bridge will close at 7:00 a.m. and the southbound direction will close at 9:00 a.m. Both directions of the bridge are expected to reopen by 4:00 p.m. During this closure, traffic on northbound and southbound Preston Road that would normally use the bridge to cross over US 380 will be detoured onto the Preston Road frontage roads and will have to go through the traffic signal at US 380.

Motorists on Preston Road should expect delays at US 380 during the day and are urged to use caution in the construction zone.
