Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research at the STAR will be a world-class sports medicine facility opening in early 2018. On site, will be a Sports Performance Center dedicated to athletes at all levels ranging from amateurs to nationally prominent professional sports figures. In addition, there will be an Urgent Care Center, Imaging Center, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Outpatient Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Pharmacy, a Primary Care Practice, and more. At the STAR, athletes will have access to tools that help enhance physical performance, gain education and training on injury prevention, along with treatment options for injury recovery.
About the Frisco Classic Presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy and Research at the STAR
The Frisco Classic features four of the country’s top teams spanning three days of play at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, TX home of the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The weekend tournament will have two games per day with each team playing the other three times in a round robin format. The four teams for the inaugural event in March of 2017 will consist of The University of Arkansas Razorbacks, University of Arizona Wildcats, University of Nebraska Huskers, and the Oklahoma State University Cowboys.

The Frisco Classic Presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy and Research at the STAR will host a kickoff dinner and silent auction on Thursday, March 2 benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Strikeout CF”, as it will formally be called will have appearances from the Frisco Classic participating team coaches, city of Frisco officials and other prominent figures within the community. All revenue generated from this event will go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their search to find a cure.
