Cross Country Runners Advance to State Meet

Frisco ISD will send 26 runners to compete in the Cross Country State Championships this Saturday, November 4 in Round Rock.

The girls’ teams from Wakeland and Liberty high schools qualified after placing second and fourth, respectively, at the regional meet on October 23. Additionally, the boys’ team from Wakeland also advanced after a second place regional finish.

Students from Heritage, Independence and Reedy high schools qualified for the state meet as individuals.

The 5A girls’ race begins at 8:30 a.m. and the boys’ race begins at 9:10 a.m. Saturday. The meet will be broadcast live on the NFHS Network.
