Kohl’s Associates Share Flat Stanley’s Adventures

In School News by admin

Copies of Flat Stanley’s Worldwide Adventures, a popular children’s book series about a boy who is accidentally  flattened and ends up becoming a world traveler, found their way to the Frisco ISD Early Childhood School and into the hands of some very excited preschoolers courtesy of their new friends from Kohl’s.

Kohl’s Care Associates in Action are partners with the Early Childhood Library and visit the District’s special program center several times a year to pass out books, read to students and help at the  PTA Book Fair, says Phyllis Cole, the library assistant at the center.

Last school year the Early Childhood School, which serves some of the District’s most at-risk and youngest students, received a $1,500 Grant Management donation from Kohl’s and this year, the special program center has received an additional $500 Grant Management donation from Kohl’s.

A representative from Kohl’s stated that the associates give back because FISD is their community and giving back is the way to be a part of any community.

This program is an excellent example of the FISD Partners in Education program at work with our community partners,, says Jenna Benabe, FISD’s Community Outreach Liaison.
