Centennial High School students Grace Zhang and Jason Zhu were honored as Rotary Spotlight Students of the Month at the October 12th meeting of the local civic organization.

Zhang is the daughter of Min Liu and Shigiang Zhang. She is well-known for her love of art and science. She is vice president of the CHS Art Club, vice president the National Art Honor Society, a member of National Honor Society and a member of the CHS Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Club. She is an officer in the Spanish Club and  is vice president of the Frisco Arts Youth Council, as well.

She plans to study electrical engineering.

Zhu is the son of Meimei Wu and YangYang Zhu. He is very active on the CHS Academic Decathlon team and he has won regional Ac Dec awards for math and science. He was the UIL District math winner. A competitive pianist, he is a national Music Teachers National Association competition winner and was the state Texas Music Teachers Association competition winner for two years. He is a private physics tutor and has served as assistant counselor at CYLC, a teen leadership camp.

He hopes to attend Stanford University and he plans to major in physics or mathematics.
