Reedy Golfer’s Hole-In-One Supports Breast Cancer Research

In School News by admin

An amazing shot by a golfer from Reedy High School is paying off for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Sophomore Nia Knights made a hole-in-one on October 26 at the Golf-Fore-A Cure Invitational at Sherrill Park in Richardson.

The shot, made on the 6th hole from 129 yards out, earned a $2,500 donation for the National Breast Cancer Foundation courtesy of event sponsor Advantage Hole in One.

Unbelievably, it is Knights’ second hole-in-one in a month! She made the first one during a practice round on the 9th hole at Tour 18.

The Golf-Fore-A Cure Invitational is hosted by Frisco, Centennial and Reedy high schools. This is the third year the schools have hosted the tournament to help in the fight against breast cancer.
