The dog days of summer are upon us, Frisco! As the temperatures soar, we all start to look for ways to cool off and here at WaterWise, we’d like to help with the following tips:
Avoid being outside during “peak heat”; from roughly 10:00am to 3:00pm.
Water, water, water – stay hydrated as the Texas Heat will sneak up on you before you know it, prevent heat stroke by staying hydrated (this also means avoiding caffeine).
Wear a hat and light, loose fitting clothing. It’s the best way to avoid sunburn which can make it harder for your body to stay hydrated. And don’t forget the sunscreen, and SPF of at least 30 to cover your exposed skin.
And last but not least, at Freedom Fest, stop by the WaterWise Mist Station presented in conjunction with Baylor, Scott & White Centennial Medical Center! What better way to cool down while enjoying the festival? And while you’re at the station, stop by and talk with the WaterWise team about ways to keep your lawn and wallet cool during peak watering season.
We look forward to seeing you there Frisco, and remember, be cool!
