One of the major components to any water conservation program is understanding where water comes from and the role that it plays in our lives. Frisco is a member city of the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). While our primary source of water is Lake Lavon, we actually draw water from a variety of sources, including a wetland. As part of NTMWD, the East Fork Wetland Project not only plays a major role in our local water supply, but in providing sustainable habitat for wildlife. Come and discover the relationships between wetland, wildlife, and water conservation in this new brown bag workshop.
