Deck the Paws debuts at county Animal Shelter

(McKINNEY, Texas) — Collin County’s Animal Services will host its first Deck the Paws holiday event on Saturday, Dec. 10, offering dog and cat adoptions, a low-cost vaccination clinic, an Angel Donation Tree, gift items on sale to help fund spay and neuter clinics in the county and, of course, photo portraits with Santa for all adoptions.

The county shelter, backed by a handful of good-hearted non-profit agencies, is located at 4750 Community Blvd., in McKinney, and Deck the Paws runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Here is the day’s line-up:

  • Dog & Cat Adoptions, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic from 10 a.m.-Noon, sponsored by the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.
  • Paws Angel Donation Tree, sponsored by North Texas Pet Food Bank.
  • Don’t Thread On Me holiday sale items with proceeds going towards spay and neuter clinics.
  • Photos with Santa with all adoptions. Not adopting? Bring your pet and camera and take a photo!
